Our class put in lots of effort for the Chinese New Year decoration and we tried to embody this year’s theme, which was “金 鼠 兆丰年”.
As you can see, there is a collage of a rat in the middle of the notice board at the back as this is the Year of the Rat (鼠年).
It was made entirely out of recycled materials that we scavenged from home, such as magazines.
The vibrant red packets laid across the board represents prosperity(金), while the branches of the tree symbolises our classmates blossoming and blooming into their true selves in the promising year ahead.
This symbolises 兆, which is also part of the theme.
The colourful paper fans represent the phrase 圆圆满满 as it is round in shape, and it is also the flowers on the tree. The phrase 一分耕耘 一分收获 is a reference to 丰年,as we harvest the fruits of our labour. Our design was worked on by all of our classmates and each and every one of us played a part in the success of this design.
This is our class video.
We hope you enjoyed it!
