I have asthma and this is wonderful for pulling the dander and other allergens from the air. I use the unique bag to clean my pillows once a month and the beater brushes keep the dander from my furniture. I paid about 1200 for mine but I do know that you can get them on ebay cheaper. Buy extra batteries though as mine I recently replaced and they can be expensive. I have had my delphin for 10 years and I love it. My hubby stopped me from buying on impulse and frankly speaking, i was glad that i didn't purchase it because i know that i won't be that hardworking to use it after buying anyway ;-p But i do know that my brother has one of this and his feedback was pretty good. So it really depends on whether you are the type who buy on impulse and not use the product or one that buy and will make full use of it. It just makes sense to trap all the dirt and dust in the water and not let it go back out into the air, as the traditional vacuum does. There is an official Delphin website, if you go to google and type in Delphin vacuum it will bring up the site, the replacement parts are expensive, however, to me, worth it to have a cleaner home for my children. He bought his a couple years before we were married so that was about 6 years ago, we have the electric head and the only parts we have had to replace are the brush roller and the water basin. To tell you the truth, 90% of the purchase price is a markup. Now that I know how it works, I wouldn't pay more than $300 for it, especially after seeing $100 knock offs on the market (H2O Vac).
